Triple Threat

You do get what you pay for.
For an extra RM 10 you can get the Loreal equivalent which works way better.
With the Maybelline, it does volumize and lengthen to a certain extent but the end result is a tad too clumpy for my taste.
So… moral of the story? In this case there are two:
1) Buy original
2) … Don’t be a cheapskate!

Queen of Randomness
It was Kelly’s (our PBL tutor) 29th birthday on Sunday & Shaleeni’s 21st on Tuesday so we decided to surprise them with a cheescake. ![]()

Just as luck would have it, we must have missed the 2.45pm bus and was so late to the tutorial that Kelly was pretty mad when we finally got there. Hah! Cos’ we (JL, Me, Maarish, Mich & Cat) made up half the class and maybe the noise too.

The 2 birthday girls
Aww, and next Thursday will be our last session.

Kelly said we could have a party and we decided each of us will bring a Malaysian dish. Yum! Can’t wait! Oh wait… there’s still the MCBT test on Tuesday.

I’ve discovered the most effective antipsychotic drug.
Chocolate!

This is me looking all excited and giddy before going out for ice cream at 9pm on a very cold night.

Sole-Searching
Can you guess what activity is an instant mood-booster? Nope, not exercise (although that’s what they always tell you). It’s called sales shoe shopping!!!
Was feeling pretty exhausted after work last night, but Ju-Lear intrigued me into going shoe-shopping with her today. She heard from Yat tuang’s housemate that Myer’s was having a shoe sale. She picked up 2 pairs of name brand shoes for only $27.
We fuelled up on coffee prior to our ‘mission’ and that was a smart move! Cos’ as soon as we went in…. it was like WHOOSH!! There were just so many many many piles of shoe boxes! At first sight, we spotted names like Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Dianne Ferrari, Candy, Tony Bianco and well, the list pretty much goes on. Ju-Lear was soooooo excited that she said she was actually palpitating. It was frustrating for me at first cos’ I’m a size 7 and all that were left were sizes 8 and above! But, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise cos’ the good ones were yet to come.
Oklar, don’t want to make this a draggy post cos’ I think pictures will do the shoes more justice anyway. Oh! By the way, I’ve just discovered that my phone camera is quite canggih cos’ the picture quality is quite good.
Ju-Lear’s Gold Candy (which she bought)
My Apple Candy (which I bought)
Ju-Lear’s Black Miss Shop (which she also bought)
Ju-Lear’s White & Navy Regattas (which she bought also lah)
Some strappy gold heels which JL did not buy
My Black Innovare Slingbacks (which I bought and absolutely love!!! I *heart heart heart*)
JL posing with the final contenders (then came the hard part of deciding which ones to actually get)
In short, JL bought a total of 4 pairs whereas I bought 3 pairs. Mission accomplished? Yup, it’s a success alright.

As I was chatting with JL earlier tonight, I got this sudden urge to photograph all my shoes. So off I went, lugging boxes of stinky shoes from the living room into my bedroom and lining them up. The end result was this:
Amazing isn’t it? I bought a grand total of 11 pairs of shoes since the day I arrived in Adelaide. That’s 11 pairs in barely 8 months! I only photographed those I purchased here, I deliberately left out those I brought from home cos’ you’ll think I’m a serious shoe junkie and have me committed.
Ms. JL to sent me her shoe photos, so more shoe glory.

One last thing, remember what I said about my phone camera? The pictures with legs in them were photographed with my phone.
These are just a couple of pics from my phone that I decided to upload.
Ok, this is me signing out cos’ the shoes are starting to stink up my room. Ciao~
Shopaholic on the loose!!
I guess the title really explains it all. We invaded both Harbor Town and Marion. Gathered up a troop [eh, shopping's a serious business k?] and conquered the mall we did! Success!!! The total damage of the day was about $160++
I finally found a pair of boots that can actually fit my humongous calves!!! And it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for too! Double success! Bought a $10 dress too! Cheap!
Oh yeah, Transformers was AWESOME! I mean seriously! I was a childhood fan [thx to my dad, who I think was channeling his inner child through me when he bought me Transformers figurines] and never did I expect the movie to feel so…. complete. You know? Like there was nothing missing from the story. The cast was superb, storyline fantastic, there was mystery, romance [between Bumble Bee and Sam, action EVERYTHING! Oh yeah, there was Josh Duhamel and Shia too~

- ok, truth? this was so such an impulsive buy! i just got my fringe cut and highlighted and i walked into ‘acoustic stomach‘ (which has loads of amazing shoes, bags, accessories etc) and saw these gorgeous pair of white flats!!! it was leather and sooooooo freakin’ soft! (ok, i think i’m beginning to exhibit some bimbo-istic character now) then! i saw this yellow ones! it’s also so soft! and bright! it was on sale for $30 and while the salesgirl was in the backroom looking for my size, my fingers were crossed (i had so much bad luck with knitted sweaters here, they are all too large for me) anyway, i had to go sownstairs to collect them, but yes! they had my size!!!! tralalala~~
-going out for drinks with a bunch of friends tonight @ red square. hopefully i’ll have some fun in these shoes!
- btw, it felt like it’s been forever since we all went out and had any fun, what with the tests and placements and labs. this is one of the very rare times where i did not need any persuasion to go out for a drink
shocking? i think so too~
-haha couldn’t resist as usual
-my fringe! you can’t really see the red highlights now, but i reckon they’ll get lighter later on. i had 2 red streaks put in, for $7 apiece and the fringe cut was $6.50. it all came to a grand total of $20.50! not bad huh?
